Ambassador Luis (ret.) C.deBaca, Senior Justice Initiative Advisor, Grace Farms Foundation, former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons and Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School Under the Obama Administration, Ambassador (ret.) C.deBaca coordinated U.S. government activities in the global fight against contemporary forms of slavery as head of the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. He also served as a Director in the Department of Justice’s Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking. Ambassador (ret.) C.deBaca was also Counsel to the House Committee on the Judiciary, focusing on: national security, intelligence, immigration, civil rights, and modern slavery issues. He obtained the convictions of dozens of traffickers and retired as one of the country’s most decorated federal prosecutors.
